Where we are.

In the Río Eléctrico valley, 16 km from El Chaltén on the road to Lago del Desierto. Behind the houses stands Cerro Eléctrico, which gives the place its name.

Just 800 metres from Los Glaciares National Park. A refuge surrounded by native forest, to connect with Patagonia at its purest.

Less space, more life.15 m² of calm, nature and digital unplugging.

The house, in the forest

Low-impact living modules, thermally insulated and lined inside, with panoramic windows designed to take in the majesty of the mountain from your bed.

How they work

Four 15 m² upcycled container cabins nestled among native trees. Built with high-grade thermal insulation, warm wood interiors and a large mountain-view window. They operate 100% off-grid, using solar power, composting toilets and natural wetland water purification. A peaceful sanctuary where the only soundtrack is the wind and the river.

About us

We are Federico and Rebecca. We have lived in El Chaltén for more than 15 years.

Federico

Grew up in Bariloche. He built much of the houses, the structure and the interior, and he is always looking for more ecological ways of doing things.

Rebecca

Grew up and studied in Paris. Fifteen years ago she decided to change her life and moved to Patagonia.

We live here

Our house is on the same land as the tiny houses. We welcome every guest in person, so you know we are close by if you need anything.

Before you come

Signal & connectivity+

There is no mobile phone signal in the valley. However, Wi-Fi is available at the main house, so you can easily check the weather forecast or send messages when needed.

Long stays+

If you want to stay 28 nights or more, write to us.

Who+

Each house is for two adults. No pets, and no smoking inside.

What to bring+

Warm layers, even in summer: nights are cold and the wind can be strong. And a torch for stargazing.
